Ignorance is Bliss-tering

“Knowing is not enough; we must apply.  Willingness is not enough; we must do.”

-Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

You don’t understand social media, branding, or the integration of communication practices…

You have never taken the time to care about your target markets…

You will never stare a hungry lion in the mouth and say, “I’m not afraid of you…”

You will never ask the questions that need to be asked and make the progress that needs to be made within your organization having to do with your customer communication strategies…

You will not lose that last 10-15 pounds…

You can’t understand why this “social media fad” isn’t going away…

You will never leap tall buildings…

You don’t have enough time in the day…

You can’t build Rome in a day and you didn’t lay the railroad by yourself…

You won’t listen to anyone but yourself…

You aren’t made of money…

You don’t think any of this applies to you and won’t take anything to heart…

Why not?

Good stuff! I think we can all insert our own nay-saying ideas we tell ourselves. That’s why it’s so important to drop the ego or remember your always going to be a student. It’s a tough pill to swallow when you realize that one consumer review has the potential to be more powerful than your multimillion dollar ad campaign.
